Dragonfly Forest is pleased to establish the Dik van Meerten Memorial Fund.  This Memorial has been established for a man who will never be known by those his fund will help.   Dik van Meerten, father of Dragonfly Forest’s Vice President of Year Round Program, Sylvia van Meerten, was a kind, generous, thoughtful man, with friends and relatives all over the world.   

Dik’s daughter Sylvia van Meerten, has worked with hundreds of kids and families with autism.  She is incredibly proud of designing the Dragonfly Forest summer program for kids with autism and 22Q, and is thrilled to be heading up the new Dragonfly Forest year-round venture, The Spectrum.  Sylvia project management skills and many other talents come from her father’s influence and advice.   

Sylvia has told her friends at Dragonfly Forest that her father's “robust personality and huge laugh were a delight to those who knew him. His company and advice were highly valued by his children, their friends, his friends and his family.” 

We are honored to have had Dik van Meerten as an extended member of the Dragonfly Forest family.   Any donations made in Dik’s name will go to his Memorial Fund to help further the work of his daughter, helping those with Autism.
